Updated information on UiB corona. What does this mean for employees at the Faculty of Medicine?

The Norwegian government has announced that further reopening of the society has been put on hold due to the current corona virus epidemic. This has the following consequences for all employees at the Faculty of Medicine:

    1. Employees in a risk group or living together with someone in a risk group shall contact his or her leader to organize his/he work from home.
    2. For other employees there is a possibility for flexible working hours and/or work from home in order to ease the burden on public transport. Such arrangements must be agreed upon between the employee and his/her leader so that it is feasible for both parts.

You will receive further information about this within the start of next week.

    1. Social distancing of 1 m and other protective measures still apply when at work.
    2. The health authorities will issue guidelines regarding the use of masks and we will come back with further information when these guidelines are available. If mask use is made mandatory the university will offer masks for all employees and students.

  2. If you get airway symptoms, you stay at home and notify your leader, and contact your GP for testing consideration.
